Integration of CityGML and Air Quality Spatio-Temporal Data Series via OGC SOS

چکیده
Cities have always been considered a horsepower of industrial growth over centuries. However, urbanization often has environmental effects. In this paper we will focus on one of them, namely air pollution, and how we can integrate 3D city models and air quality sensor data. In most cases, air quality data is acquired from static sensor systems like weather stations, which lack the coverage required for urban simulation. Applying mobile data for air quality models is more reasonable due to the spatial coverage of the urban model. Yet academic research has been scarce on the integration of city models and spatio-temporal varying sensor data. To close the gap, this paper proposes a novel approach to integrate city model data and spatio-temporal data in an interoperable and standardized way. The geometry aspects of a city are described by those defined in CityGML and the air spatio-temporal varying data is retrieved by OGC Sensor Observation Service. The approach uses Cesium JS, a JavaScript library for visualizing the semantical city model stored in CityGML and the OGC SOS observation service from 52°North for the air quality data transmission. Spatio-temporal analysis of diurnal air temperature parameterization in Weather Stations over Iran
Diurnal air temperature modeling is a beneficial experimental and mathematical approach which can be used in many fields related to Geosciences. The modeling and spatio-temporal analysis of air Diurnal Temperature Cycle (DTC) was conducted using data obtained from 105 synoptic stations in Iran during the years 2013-2014 for the first time; the key variable for controlling the cosine term i...
متن کاملContext-aware Modeling for Spatio-temporal Data Transmitted from a Wireless Body Sensor Network
Context-aware systems must be interoperable and work across different platforms at any time and in any place. Context data collected from wireless body area networks (WBAN) may be heterogeneous and imperfect, which makes their design and implementation difficult. In this research, we introduce a model which takes the dynamic nature of a context-aware system into consideration. This model is con...
متن کاملEstablishing a national 3D standard compliant to CityGML: good practice of a national 3D SDI
This article describes a research project that realised a national standard for 3D geo-information. The standard was developed as part of a pilot in which more than 65 private, public and scientific organisations collaborated to analyse and push 3D developments in the Netherlands (run between March 2010 and June 2011). The 3D standard was established through several steps. Firstly a comparison ...
متن کاملZoning of Bamdej Wetland Water Quality based on the Spatio-temporal Kriging
Inland wetlands are of the most important natural terrestrial types of water resources. Against its importance in protecting and improving biodiversity, air quality and macro-climatic condition of their regions, industrial development, and urbanization treat their natural existence and behavior. Therefore, monitoring and quality evaluation of wetlands are necessary to analyze and infer their na...
